Strange indicator problem

My left indicator is flashing at double speed and when i apply the brakes while indicating, it cuts out! Is this a common fault, can anyone help.

Double the speed means that one of the bulbs have gone on the side that it flashes double on.

Can't help with the brakes. Check your brake fluid, see if it is at normal level.

Loose earth on one of your rear light clusters.
