I can see why they are popular! After having these beauties in my room for a few months I finally got off my backside and fitted my retro recaros. Sourced some hefty yet thin mild steel 80x80 box section for the sub-frame to sit on and got to it.

I wanted fiat strada recaros as 1; they are practical buckets that are both comfortable and not extreme looking and 2: they are still original fiat with an added retro edge. They can tip forwards still allowing rear access (not that I like having rear passengers) and also still allow the rear seats to fold fully flat.

A bit of fettling over the weekend and I had them fitted for the drive back to my current home in Worcester from Surrey and must say they are very comfortable. The extra bolsters also give me a much greater feeling of security and encourage more adventurous ‘chuck’ into the corners which the car loves. You feel more like your sitting ‘in’ the car rather than bouncing along on top of it being hunkered down lower.

I’m so glad I managed to source some that had been re-trimmed as original ones in good nick are impossible to find and the black complements the interior.

Whilst at it I also gave the car a much needed wash and polish and. Due to my new location being parked up under a tree, I also sourced a ‘small’ car window/roof cover which in the end nearly completely covers my car, just the job. No bird poop worries for me and no hassle of a big bulky flappy cover.

Ahhh i need one of those, now its sunny the car stays in the drive and the bike gets a run.

Where is it from?

So is that box section bolted to the original seat mounts and then the strada seats bolted to the top?? Simple and effective!! I like it!! Seats look awesome *trots off to ebay to look for strada seats*
