500 stop start problem

Hi ,
Got a problem with my 8 month old 500. Its with the stop start. driving home tonight the engine ,stop start off and warning light came on .Checked the usual stuff oil ,coolant.
Am pretty pissed off .dealership not very helpful have booked her in for an emergency check over on friday .Can anyone help to reassure this is a simple fix it thingy .Am also not amused at the recall over funky wiring near steering column is there a link?

The recall for wiring takes about 20 mins and is just to put a zip strap around the wiring to secure it correctly.

The S/S warning light can come on for no apparent reason and will usually go away after the car is restarted manually. Have you driven it since?
