Technical Stilo Problem: Doesn't Start PLEASE HELP!

Hey

I'm new to this forum, i found it looking to find the answer to the problem below.

I have a 1.2 3dr Fiat Stilo. Its my 1st car, and its gone wrong.

I got it 3 weeks ago. Its a 52 reg with 60k on the clock.

I went to start it up and it originally said engine fault and then revs decreases and 'died'. I then did this again and the same happend.

I later tried again and now it goes on to MAR but then to start the engine nothing happens.

Can anybody help me please. Its really anoying as its my 17th on thursday so I haven't even driven it yet just my dad!

Id suggest the battery, do you get any other faults when you turn the key to MAR??

Im not so familiar with the 1.2, but im sure someone will be able to help

No i dont just that one.

I had a problem last week when the drivers door wouldnt shut but leaving it for 10min it shut but i have had no other problems with it.

if nothing happens when the key is turned its likely 2 b the battery. had 2 replace my battery when i bought my 1.2, same sorta mileage. try running a voltometer over the battery and see if its giving a good reading. if not replace

Battery failures on Stilo's can produce wierd and wonderful results, normally not the obvious signs. There have been people that reported ABS failure and all sorts with a duff battery......

Im sorted out getting the battery tested tomorrow and i shall report back.
