guys, i need you help on insuring my stilo.

now its a 2003 1.9 jtd on a 52 plate. im 20, il be doing under 10k per year, the car is parked in a locked garage in a secure neighbourhood. this is also my first policy so no NCB. i have no convictions or the likes. i have been a named driver for a year now and no claims were made on that policy.

ensleigh have quoted me £953 fully comp with £600 accidental damage excess which i think is quite good for fully comp seeing as the 3rd party F&T quotes were coming in at over a grand.

now with it being sunday, i cant ring around a lot of companies so i thought id get some help and pointer from you guys first.

thanks, oz

But you have optional extras on it - the skyroof for starters?

I would also enquire about any price hike once you fit those new alloys, per your other thread.

rang endsleigh again, and they do cover everything on the car that was fitted by fiat at time of initial purchase (bascially the skyroof and connect nav). they would also allow me to change the alloys and tint the windows :woot:

anything else, like skirts or remap or lowering and its a 4 figure increase

i wanted to fit lowering springs just to avoid the issues with the fiat ones snapping (and looks too), but they wouldnt have any of it.

still seems pretty good to me

seeing as you're getting a low quote anyway, id suggest calling adrian flux, they specialize in under 25 car insurance. i insured mine with them yesterday, and though my quote isnt as good as yours (£1,850) it's damn good bearing in mind the neighbourhood i live in (where we go rioting and stuff every so often, with high crime rates) and bearing in mind also its not parked in a secure bay, i think they should be able to get an even lower quote for you.

Mine was fully comp, break down cover the lot, even something about cover in europe! crazy good deal. Considering the lowest i was getting at the time was high 2,000's and mid 3,000's.

Oh and im 21, in a 1.6 with no NCB's either.

Ive just started to ring around as my renewal's due shortly.

I was with Esure originally, but after the re-map things started to go sky-wards with them, so I'm just seeing my current 12 months out.

Best quote Ive had for renewal so far is with Adrian Flux, if that helps.

definately give adrian flux a bash, im insured with them £890 and £600 excess ( which is the only downer). that was me getting insurance at the age of 20 with one years license and 1 NCB. and with all modification declared ( there being quite a few.. )
