It's just plain WRONG.

I followed one for 26 miles on the M42 and by god it's bad.

The front is quite nice, the side is OK but the rear is just wrong.

How did we get from nicely rounded bravo to box section stilo?

Sorry, don't agree with you.

I'm sure the Bravo bum is just as polarising to non-owners.

Re-establishing the basic Bravo rear proportions onto a more defined, contemporary Stilo was a good move.

The 5 door Stilo back end, which is probably what you saw, is wildly different from the 3 door (generally reckoned to be the good looking one) just like the Brava is different from the Bravo

Personally I think the 3 door versions of the Bravo and the Stilo hold all the cards for styling

I didn't like the look of the Stilo at all... that was until I walked into a Fiat showroom and saw a 1.9JTD sporting (yellow) in the flesh... put it this way... the Bravo is being sold soon

Stilo don't seem to photograph well, mind you... I also think Bravo's don't from the back end.

TBH I think it is a grower, if you dicided to buy one im sure you would learn to love the looks, like I did once I washed the bravo for the first time, the nice curve just below the rear window for example.

The 3 door Stilo back end is modelled directly on the Bravo rear end, just "squared-off".

The designers kept the basic size and shape of the rear lights on the Stilo but changed the lights themselves and the arrangement as the Bravo ones had been copied so much. The red lights (side lights) on the Stilo's rear lights are designed to make a up/forward pointing arrow at night. This was the designers' way to make them unique in the way that the Bravos circles were unique when it was released.

The bumper is TOO BIG and the hatch is TOO SMALL.
