Can someone help me with a daft question i have relating to the back box on my 1.6 stilo ('02).
Just had the front part of the exhaust done by local garage (sorry cowboys) in York, they had some bother getting bits etc etc then guessed the price.
Anyway before i had it done the back box used to tilt down a bit towrds the front of the car, which allowed any of the condensation to drain away that was in it. However.... Now they have just fitted new front piece to it the back box is dead level now,not tilting up or down...

Is this how its meant to be or should it tilt???
I thought it was meant to tilt at first so as to drain away but now i am not so sure....... Anyone fancy popping under theirs and having a look.

Thanks in Advance

HMMMMMM! mine has an aftermarket on it and its dead straight, no tilt at all, it was there when i bought it and there dosn't seem to be any problems. If its a stainless steel box it won't rust if theres water collecting in it.

ts fine.. for the amount of condensation you get in it i wouldnt worry, plus the heat from the exhaust will soon cause it to evaporate!...

my standard box was straight, and so is the aftermarket one i have..

Thanks for the help guys, hopefully should be ok.
Going back to see the cowboys though after getting a second opinion on the one they fitted...... they used some of the exhaust gum inbetween the clamps when fitting, but sounds like its blowing up the front where the pipe meets manifold now. cant of put it on right yet they are meant to be specialists in tyre and exhausts:mad::mad::mad:.
