Technical Stilo Abarth "Airbag System Failure"

I have just bought my first Stilo Abarth.
Nice car

The thing is, I have found a few problems with her already.
I'll list them in separate threads as they aren't related. (at least I don't think they are).

Airbag System Failure.
The guy said his daughter pulled her schoolbag from under the passenger seat and it ripped the sensor out or something.
He showed me the little grey box under the seat. Sure enough, the wires had been pulled out.
I took the plug out and reconnected the wires, but it was still saying fault.

Do you think I just need to get a new box (what's it called again?), or was the guy pulling my leg with the schoolbag story?

If it's plugged in then resetting the ecu should cure that the way I mentioned earlier

Ah. Good stuff mate.
Yeah I reconnected the wires which had snapped. I'll tape them up properly tomorrow and reset the ecu like you said.
