Anyone know when it should be replaced and if it's an engine out job like the bravo?

Did you buy one?
I've got all the details for service intervals and belts for the 5 cylinder jobs somewhere in amongst my stuff for the JTD, will have a look and see what's what if that's any help.

I don't think it's an engine out job on the Stilo

You should change it every 30,000 miles / 3 years, whichever comes first. Nowt worse than a belt going and destroying a lovely engine.

its not an engine out job on the bravo just replaced mine 4000 miles ago you need 2 go in though the diver side weel arch and take off the inner arch and remove the engine mount which revieals the tensioner and the end of the crank

I phoned about a schumacher with the gp kit at arnold clarks in kirkody. The salesman said it was 'just in and it was immaculate. It was on old lady that owned it'When i drove down it had lots of chips at the edge of the doors. She must have kept knocking the door on her garage wall or sumthing. Also had a nasty scrape on the back wing. She must have been a dog owner as well as there were HEAPS! of scrathes on the doorcards and side skirts with the pooch getting in.Needles to say I didnt expect it to be perfect but my bravos 11 years old with 108000mls and the bodywork was tidier.

We havent had a Schumi in stock for over a year maybe 2.

If you're thinking about a 2.4 Abarth - don't...... unless it's a manual..... the silispeed gearbox is a monumental pain in the arse as well documented on other forums. The manual 'box Abarth is quite rare so the Schumi edition (more numerous or easy to find compared to the Abarth manual 'box cars) would seem to be the one to go for although the Schumi has fewer toys than the Abarth and really isn't that much better.
However, BE WARNED the 2.4 5 cylinder petrol engine has some real issues and I know one guy quite well who is on engine #3 on a 40k car  Fortunately for him all under warranty

If you're serious about a Stilo then drop me a line in a fortnights time - I'm about to head out and drive down to Dorset for a course with work. More than happy to give you a few pointers when I get back ;)

I haven't heard about any really serious problems with them apart from the selespeed boxes but i wouldn't want one of them anyway.I cant see the point of them.Theres a nice one not far from me in banff on pistonheads but it out of my budget. Its only done 1400mls!!!
