All greetings!
I am the owner of Fiat Stilo 1.2.
I from St. -Petersbourg, Russia. In my city I don't know the masters very well knowing engine Stilo, and the more so knowing something about chip tuning Stilo. I have a complete set galleto 1260, but in it there is no my model, only Abarth version 2.4. I can't dump my ecu map to send profi for creation tuning firmware. Help to merge an insertion.

Still there is such problem when the car heats up where that vanishes dynamics. From - for what it can be? A compression of 10 points in everyone cyllinder. All is serviceable. On the computer of errors isn't present any. What of gages corrects a corner of an advancing of ignition: the sensor of temperature of a cooling liquid or the sensor of temperature of soaked up air? I know that any of them is responsible for a mix saturation, and another - corrects a corner of an advancing of ignition. Sorry for not well english. Thanks.I'm thinking, that chip tuning decide my problem.

A chip will only improve the performance of an egine which is already in good order. It won't correct faults. And to be honest, I wouldn't waste my money chipping a 1.2 engine, the power increase will be marginal at best.

The corner of an advancing of ignition can be adjusted most? And in general, what changes can be made with engine to reach the maximum productivity? The filter of zero resistance can be? Etc.

Greetings to all again!
Has thought of sale of the Stilo 1.2, but in Russia very few people appreciates huge potential of this car, besides, here all concern it skeptically. A result: nobody wants it to buy from me. The car quite good. Has thought of alteration of the engine and has then decided to ask you, foreign colleagues because we in Russia, don't have the good experts understanding mark of Fiat in general.

I have two questions: it is possible to put what turbine on a Stilo 1.2, without changing thus compression degree, such, that forced pressure 0.4-0.5 Bar. What thus it is necessary to alter, what ECU to put for management etc.? The second question: from other car it is possible to put what alternative engine in Stilo 1.2? For example from Fiat Uno 1.4 turbo? If it is possible, more detailed information about it. I know English not bad and consequently I will be glad to any information from English-speaking resources. Thanks.

Nobody has put a Turbo on a 1.2 because its not worth doing. Here we have lots of Stilo's so if we need a faster one we buy a faster one.

Most engines will fit if you know what you are doing. The easiest would be a Fiat Coupe one but then your suspension and other chassis modifications will need to be done.

My advice is to sell and but a different car that better suits your needs.

Fiat Stilo 1.2T-Exclusive in Hellenic Stilo Club - how about this thread?

I know, my thoughts on the verge of a fantasy. But, nevertheless, now it is a lot of engines with small volume and with turbines. As in a theme about the turbine on a stylus 1.2 even the motor shouldn't be touched. Thanks for the answer. I will search for enthusiasts. As the turbine ihi VM39L costs 1000 euros, and it already all expenses because I will put. Yes, and ECU shouldn't be updated.

Another question: How it is possible to update ECU? I heard something about boot mode. How there to get?

No chance of getting any real power from the 1.2 16v. I have the same engine as well in mine but it really is a waste of 300 quid or whatever to get 9bhp from a remap! What I done for a few months was remove the back seats and spare wheel, no increase in actual speed but the response was improved and my god the handling improves!

You could try fitting a bigger throttle body from the 1.6 or 1.8 or even 2.4 if its possible. That's something I've thought about doing recently but I don't know what will happen if you fit a bigger throttle body yet. In theory it should improve repsonse/acceleration if you fit a hefty exhaust as well ie remove the cats and fit a bigger diameter exhaust, TB alone would do FA! If you fit a bigger TB you might need to remap it for the MAF to read the extra volume of air entering the engine and remap the fueling then again I may be wrong. I've also heard that the Stilo ecu is "adaptive" so will adapt itself to changes, but I don't have a clue.

Basicly you're limited to messing with the intake/exhaust of your engine especialy on an engine as small as the 1.2, but changing the intake/exhaust will only at best improve response, not outright power. For that you need a turbo, expensive to fit to NA cars but the techies in Greece seem to have stuck a turbo in every Stilo, but I bet it cost a pretty penny!

Personaly if you're going to be stuck with the 1.2 for a considerable length of time then take the back seats/spare wheel out and enjoy the extra "liveliness" it brings, you won't get bored of throwing it into corners at speed even the 1.2 is keen into corners with the weight out the back! That's my advice anyway :)
