right i had a head unit in my white bravo mk1 "p"reg and it worked fine then as i've just put it into my new bravo "x"reg unsure if this means mk2???

and now even though it all works fine, the settings all go back to normal after you turn the ignition key off after a drive so all the speaker settings dont stay the same for when you turn it back on... not a massive problem but it's annoying as it takes a couple o minites to set up every time you turn it off then back on again the "p"reg one it came out of only had one connectors divided into 2 bits but all one piece... the "x"reg had 2 connectors to go in the same place but they're not joined... unsure what i need to do to get it working properly again... can't see it still working if i've got the 2 plugs mixed up but i really don't know

anyone had this problem or know what could be causing it?

cheers

Search be your friend.

Firstly, yes - 'X' is a MKII

Secondly, this subject will bring up pages upon pages of search results.

Basically you need to swap the perm live and the ignition live round on you head unit wiring. (they are USUALLY red and yellow)

Sounds like the bullet connectors are already in you wiring for you. Sony by any chance?

Thanks will try searching next time and no it's a kenwood head unit

cheers
