stereo heat

hey, my stereo keeps heating up, the cds get very warm and the face off is litterally burnin hot, any ideas why?

Because there's so much going on in such a small space.

So long as it doesn't set on fire or start cutting out, then it'll be right.

any way to avoid this or like reduce tha amount of heat?

not really,though if you used a seperate amp it would cut down the heat.
if its really hot check there no hot air ducting come loose behind and is heating it up.
remember its warm weather now as well

sorry, this is gona sound so dumb..how can i identify the hot air ducting?

doesnt sound dumb, if you don't know somethin, gotta ask or you'll never know.

well if oyu look under the dash/behind the stereo you will see plastic trunking that carrys hot air to the vents etc.if one was loose around the sereo you can get hot air surrounding the stereo area

They do get hot if in use for any reasonable amount of time. I really wouldn't worry about it.
