Technical Stepper Motor Reset

hello everyone

i heard there`s a way to reset the stepper motor mounted on my TB
the engine is a 1.6 SPI-A type

i think from what i read around here that this procedure is mentioned in the owners handbook which i don't have unfortunately

so, is this true ? & if it is, could someone be kind enough to tell me how ??
