hey! if i drive in a straight line and let the steering wheel go it pulls to the left really badly, really annoying for driving especially at snail pace as i have to hold the wheel or i end up writing the car opposite of. is my steering knackered or something?

could be flatish tyre, wheel out of balance or tracking needs adjusting, or if you realy unlucky worn wheel bearing or ball joint, check tyre presure first it free, also it should be free to get tracking checked about £23 to adjust it if its out, they should check wheel bearings and ball joints before a tracking test if they are doing it right.

If you have just bought the car recently 2nd hand it could of been in an accident & have a "twisted" chassis. It happened to my dad years ago when a van ran in the back of him at the traffic lights.

Do you have aftermarket alloys on? If they're wider they will exaggerate any slight steering problems that you may not have noticed with standard wheels.

Could possibly be a brake calliper dragging?

Don't ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever go Kwik-Fit unless you have lots of spare time and don't mind going back to them again it about 20 minutes or so after you just got back on the road.

But like Dave said, Check:

Tyre Pressure
Tracking (Get satellite tracking done, the one where the put the lil satellite dish on your wheels)

Wish Bones
Ball Joints
Track Rod Arms
Chassis
Subframe

for any "Bentness"

if you just got new wheels this sometimes requires gettin your vehicle tracked afterwards.
