General Steering coupling

I am building a gokart and have bought a rack & pinion for it. I have been told that a steering coupling from a Seicento/Cinqecento will fit in. Can anyone confirm this? The STEERING COUPLING I NEED IS THE LOWER STEERING SHAFT WITH THE UNIVERSAL JOINT ON THE END. NEEDS TO BE 12mm 23 SPLINES. If this is the right coupling from the Seiceno/ Cinquecento, where can i get one?

Carnt you just get a universal racetech one and weld it on?
Scrap the splines etc:idea:
