Hi,

I ordered a new steering column switch for my Panda 4x4 1988. I checked all the connectors and they all matched. So I installed to whole thing with the help of a YouTube tutorial. It was al fine until I reconnected the battery and turned the key. Everything was dead even the clock in the dashboard stopped making noise as I turned the key. So I placed the old steering column switch back and that didn't change anything so I think maybe a fuse has done it's job. Does anyone have tips on where to start and what I could do to make it work again.

Thanks

Michiel

Did you knock the connector behind the ignition switch perhaps? It's worth a look, make sure it's all connected, if it is then maybe unplug it, check the connection and replug it just in case. Check the battery is still okay and make sure the terminals are okay too. The fuses on an 88 4x4 should be under the driver's side of the dash (RHD), you can visually check them all too, or check them for continuity with a multimeter just to be sure!
