Another newbie question - sorry!
After studying the workshop manual I still can't figure out how to remove the steering column on my 500L without cutting the wires from the other side of the dash and pulling them through.
I have removed the steering wheel and now need to take off the rest of the column. I've taken out the bolt that attaches the column to the dash bracket but I can't see any connectors to disconnect the wiring for the indicator and light stalks from the column to allow me to remove the column. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this please?

Thanks in advance :)

There are certainly connections from the column that will reside just the other side of the bulkhead.
After removing fuel tank and wiper motor they will be obvious
They are bullet connectors.

If you have nimble fingers and arms like Mr Tickle then you can remove the steering column without removing the wiper motor and fuel tank.
Well at least you can on a LHD 500L.
I had to remove mine recently after breaking the key off in the ignition/steering lock.

Thanks all! I eventually found the bullet connectors under the copious amount of underseal that has been applied everywhere.
