Hi all. I have previously posted on a Starting and Heating thread and am still sitting with that same problem, only once I do now get the car started it seems to idle ok until I apply petrol. Once my foot is on the accelerator the revs start to go erratic going high and low. I took the car to a mechanic and he has no idea what causes this. It is a huge problem in traffic as when I pull off, suddenly the revs drop and the car stalls or revs jump and I wheel spin as pulling off. Once the car cuts out, I battle to start it by either putting a screwdriver into the number 1 plug lead or disconnecting the battery and computer and leaving it for a few hours if not days before it will start again.

What vehicle is it DreLyn? Model, year, engine? That might help someone come up with an answer.
