On my 04 2.0 diesel the starter was getting realy slugish and then starts up striaght away. new battery last winter , tried it 8 times last night started straight away each time , then this morning a bit of a werr on the nothing , dash lights on
but no starter clicking , put a new battery from an other car still nowt

presuming it brushes , anyone replaced a starter , how much do i remove to get it out .

It could be the solenoid sticking, mine does that from time to time. Try whacking the starter casing with a heavy object like a spanner, hammer etc then try starting the engine.
 
Well tiny mitsubishi thing .. its got a number on it M000T20871 with 13 teeth.
when searched its the same for most peugout 406 306 c5 but i thought they had 11 teeth,
rang motor factors and they said the same ,computer says 11 teeth ,on going the and compareing them it had 13 ...
any way bought and fitted and works perfectly:D:D:D:D
