Hey,

14594.jpg

I was wondering. I can buy this stabilisation beam for €20,-. Gotta drive a "few" myles for it, but is that worth it? Does it really make your "steering" behaviour better?

It will be fitted in my lowered Sei. But it is accually for a Cinq. Should it fit?

(otherwise I'll put in in my Cinq...)

Is that an upper or lower brace? If its an upper strut brace, then it is worth getting - however if its a lower strut brace - then i would advise agaisnt it. The lower one, when fitted gives you around 20mm ground clearence which just isnt enough unless the car is a 100% track car.

The upper strut brace will make the steering better, as it stiffens up the suspension mounting points.

in that case, yeah - get it.

it should fit the sei too. I know the cinq and sei suspension parts are interchangeble. You may have to slightly mod the ECU bracket to make it fit, but it'll go on

Don't know, this is the only picture I have. But hey, when it sucks and breaks or something, then the car will just be like it always was. Don't think it can harm anything when it would fail.

I've seen these strut braces before, they seem quite common on the Czech cars as well as on a lot of the Polish sites.

I've included some pictures that I happen to have on my computer of different engine bays, some of these pictures gave me and my dad (Julio_scorchio) some ideas about our engine bays.

Hey, cool to see that some have the same one as I have. I've never seen them on other cinqs and seis.

About the handling... It is a little stiffer but the effect is minimal. I can feel the difference because I am aware it's in it.

The forces that work on the bolts are pretty heavy I think sow putting it closer by using just 1 bolt could be better for getting results but I think it is less safe. Because when the bolt should break using only one bolt then you are far more in problems then when you lose just the upper bolt. That is my choise... Are there any persons on fiatforum with this thing in the hood?
