Alright guy's, can anyone advise on the following problem?
My front offside wheel has started squeeling after a couple of miles of travel. At first it only happened when i turned left, but now does it when going straight. If i dab the breaks it stops, but then starts again once i've taken my foot off the pedal.

re

I'd guess the piston is seizing a bit in the caliper? squelling is wher eit hasnt fully retracted? when you dab the brakes it makes full contact, squealign stops then squeal again when full pressure is not applied but hasnt retracted properly? i'd also guess that that wheel woudl be gettig much hotter than the other side due to the continual contact.

Very funny Rob, and now you mention it i have'nt seen it for a few days!! LOL

Thing is allan, would it not squeel from the moment i drive off if it was the brakes. Next time i'm out i will have a feel of both front wheels to see if one is hotter than the other.

Cheers guys!!

re

only other thing i can guess is the first few miles while both parts are cold they dont quite come into contact enough to squeal, then when they get some heat in them ( hot metal/materials ) normally expand slightly, like heating a nut to get it undone, so they touch then gets worse and worse etc
