Technical squeek

ok... after driving my car and parking i then turn the car off and get this really odd squeek when i turn the car off..... does anyone else get this or know what it is ?

its really hard to discribe but maybe an air box valve or something?

whats an airbox valve?

its far more likely to be the bearing on one of the pulleys, or a belt that is catching on a pulley, especially if it is not correctly tensioned. i'd check alternator and power steering pump first. try turning the steering wheel as soon as it makes the noise to see if anything connected to the aux belt is involved. if the noise stops or changes pitch when you turn the steering wheel it strongly suggests the noise is coming from something connected to the aux belt.

as long as its not really loud and its about 2 seconds after you turn off then I wouldn't be too worried. my car has done this for the 3 years I've owned it.

well its the secondi turn the car off... and lasts a second or so...

will still have it checked out at somepoint tho. as its got 3 months warrenty
