Hm Sorry for all the posts recently..

I think its because since the car has had major work done, im worried about every noise i hear:S

Basically.. when i rev the car, for a breif half second there is a little "squeek".

Im crapping myself at the moment incase its a problem with the cambelt? Cant afford do get a new engine fitted again this month..

Hope to god its just the alternater belt or something...

Ta.. Rich

Fiat Bravo 1.6 SX.

sounds like the altenator belt. wouldnt worry too much.

hows the engine running? did you get the oil light problem sorted?

Hi Ash

The engine is running fine ta - and the oil warning light problem was a loose connection or the like.

The only think 'wrong' with it is the injector light comming on, however it runs fine so im not too worried at the moment.

But, i think hes missed off a cold air feed or something.... if you open the bonnet and look down the side (where the cambelt is) there used to be a 'scoop' type tube with a hose leading to the back of the engine that clips onto the wing (2 clips). And its not there....but its funning fine... lol.

I had this happen, when i first started the car there would be a squeek and then for the next couple of minutes if i reved it until it was warm it woudl squeek, never caused me any problems, was only in the winter

oh Ash.. in addition to my last post..

There is a slight flat spot in the engine - but my old engine did it aswell, so i assume its normal.. It usually happens around 2200 - 3400 rpm when accellerating in 2nd or 3rd gear.. power will dip very slightly (but noticably) then come back

@Seb - Yeah im convinced its the alternator belt now. Not worried that its going to go pop again ;)

Thanks everyone
