Spraying the brake callipers, how to?

Hello there, i pick up my Punto Evo GP tomorrow and im going about improving it already, possibly with alloys and chrome wings and chrome back strip on the bumperm but im wondering, if anyone has re-sprayed their brake callipers red and how they did it, is it as simple as wire brushing the brake callipers then just applying a certain type of red paint, if anyone has any tips on this, advice would be much appriciated!

try the guides section, for gp stilo and punto sure ive seen one some where, brush on old oil based smooth hammerite is the best thing to use, dont paint the pads or bits they slide on
