spraying question

just had my bravo sprayed on the rear bumper and the boot lock bit and the spoiler... my car is the standard bravo red ( off the top of my head carnt remember the name)... but where the paint has faided.. the bits sprayed are a different colour. the guy said that once the sun gets on it it will blend in? is this right, and how long we talking for me to notice the change? was a bit gutted really although the paint job is brill ne help would be gr8

You would be best cutting the car back to its original colour, so the new paint matches.

I have some fine cutting compound if you want to borrow it, it a bit harsher than t-cut, it worked well on mine...

I would try a bit on a hidded area first though to make sure it doesnt leave any swirls in your paint...

It's basically the same as t-cut, it takes all the polish/wax off your car, plus a very fine layer of paint, hopefully this will take off the top 'sun bleached' layer, taking your car back to the original colour (the same colour as the new paint)...

good luck on the red paint though.... t-cut didn't work for me, and i was rubbing it a hell of a lot..

Red cars normally fade quicker than any colour due to the pigments. But if you put some elbow grease into your t-cutting it will go red again.

Going off topic a bit, saw a brava today, it was a silver one with a dark red boot, obviously he must have got it from a scap yard, but the two tone colour looked quite good

Red is a bitch to match, modern reds are not that UV tollerant.

No amount of cutting will get the match perfect.

I`ve a couple if light ish scratches that aint budging, i`ll have to get some and give it a go,
