Technical sporting punto, couple of questions...

hi,

i got my sporting a few days ago, but the blue and me doesn't work, well it works, but it makes a weird hissing noise thats so loud u can barely hear what the woman is saying when telling you how to set up your phonebook etc, anyone had this problem yet??

Also, i was told by the fiat dealer not to go over 2000 revs for the fisr 500 miles, is that really neccassary with new modern cars? i hope not because i have already gone to 4000 revs only once mind you. i've been to 3000 a few times tho. i checked the manual and it doesn't say anything in the car maintenance section about doing this. thanks for your help

I wouldn't panic about going over 2000rpm. labouring the engine at low revs is probably worse. stay below 4000rpm for a few hundred miles, and it'll be okay.
Just don't batter it
I've had loads of new cars, and not really bothered with the run in rules.

Just don't do any mad 0-100mph tests just yet, oh, and go easy on the brakes,
to let them bed in nice and easy.

You can adjust the Blue&Me volume in the car radio Menu>External volume (or something like that). Mine is set to volume 12.

ok ill give that a go, but i dont think it will help to b honest coz the hiss sound is louder than the womans voice
