What are the best modifications I can make for under £200?
Chips? Filters? I want to keep the original air box.

It's been lowered with springs and shocks.
More thinking about more power

Performance panel filter. 40mm throttle body from Sparky on here and a back box?

That should help move it along a bit faster!

£200 will get you a bit more noise, that's about it.

You won't get any noticeable performance increase for that.

Best mod I have made has been front camber bolts.

All this is findable by search.....

fwiw, the favourite mod i have made to this day is still my omp rally steering wheel, that alone made the car feel nicer purely because it's your physical contact point with what direction the car goes in, having something so nice in your hands just helped the feel of what the steering was doing.

Ok sounds good. Any decent chips available?

I wouldn't know about chips, mine has the old Mckritch chip from many years ago which works well but he has long stopped making them unless someone has an non-coded one for sale.

If your engine is SPI you can use chip2race performance chip (about 30£) but if your engine is MPI, best and only choice is 40mm throttle body, K&N filter (look for obbys air filter case modifications) and sport exhaust

ive got a chip 2 race chip, a larger throttle body and an induction kit on my spi and it doesnt seem any quicker really.

just make it handle better. your best spending your money there.

ditto that!

albeit mine was sparco, (same wheel different logo!)

Depends on your physique though, I always found the cinque steering wheel being too far from my torso. A hub and deep dish makes it perfect!

How did the camber bolts improve your car?

Better grip in corners. Reduced understeer so I can carry more speed round the corner.

This has been the only mod I have made that has made a real noticeable difference.

I will third this, but mine was a Martini Racing Momo wheel. gave great feed back.

Front strut brace if you have lowering springs already. Really makes an improvement. Ebc Ultimax brake pads and an 886 cam. All cheap mods although not sure how easy/cheap the cams are to ferry hold of now?

are the 886 cams from the 1.2 multipoint?
do they really make a proven difference or do they just feel different so appear to give more power on the singlepoint?

The 886 cam was punto 75 spec which i think was mpi? think the punto 60 spi sometimes had the 886 fitted which is where I found mine. I'm sure someone more confident will improve on my understanding.

I seem to recall the valves on the punto 60 were the same size as the 55?

The punto 60 also had a 32mm throttle body rather than the Cinqs 30mm. Which it's a very cheap upgrade. But now I'm just getting nostalgic...
