Hi all
I've been looking to buy a cold air intake (piping and cone filter) for my 03 seicento but the problem is the strange position of the intake port on the 1.1 engine, there are some silicone fittings I've seen which are affordable but I'm not sure about if they would hold up. On the other hand there are some purpose made plastic/carbon fibre kits but they are a little pricey. Just looking for any suggestions.
Cheers

This question used to come up quite often .

What you are suggesting will make your engine sound different to standard but perform worse than standard. Plus you will have to inform your insurer which will increase cost. If you don't tell insurer you will not have insurance.

My suggestion is don't mess with the original system.

You could just buy a BMC air filter element which is what the 500/595 Abarth's have as standard from the factory but they also do them for most Fiat's including Seicento's, the best thing is they go into the original air filter housing so looks factory & doesn't come with the horrible power draining racket, also they actually do work unlike other aftermarket equivalents as I had one in my old Panda which made an improvement. As your Seicento is a 2003 it'll be an MPI the BMC part number is FB288/06
