Today was a beautiful day outside so I booked a half day off work and spent some time on Splutter. We have our NI Italian Motor Club show tomorrow so he needed a good clean and I took the chance to fit the Panda to Istanbul stickers. Typically I fitted the stickers for the rear windows the wrong way around. Sorry Alan...

There is a question as to whether or not Splutter is going on the Istanbul trip. Jim's co-driver has dropped out so that leaves a free seat in Sylvia. If I take Splutter as well then both myself and Jim will be driving the entire distance. Regardless, the stickers will help publicise the trip tomorrow and we'll be fundraising for the charitys as well.

I took the Seicento alloys off him and fitted Punto steelies with 155/70/13 tyres. I prefer them to the alloys, they fill the arches much better. Opinions?

I haven't got any of the MOT work done yet but I hope to get it done this week at some stage or I might just throw him round to my mechanic and get it done.

Splutters had more wheels than I've had men!

Like he got Sylvia's wheels (the ones from Africa) before she got the cinq alloys then he's had the Sie steelies (the ones with the little round holes and the hubcabs) and then he got the Sie alloys and now he's running punto steelies

Phew.... That's a lot and I'm sure I've forgotten some of the wheel combos!

Looking good. I prefer the alloys because they stick out more and hold the road nicely on low pros. I agree they leave a lot of arch room but it's the least of my worries when yumping across country with a smile on my face.

Well, as Splutter is back with me now I thought we'd just carry on here....

Well, Mojo is about to go off on his big new adventure with his new owner so I took his alloys off and swapped them with Splutters punto wheel

Splutter got a bit nervous with me lugging at his nuts sooo much

But he's a happier panda in the end now with his new alloys.

Now, just that master cylinder to go....

Jim

Well, Fred and I got the Barchetta out and went down and got Splutter

Fred thought it would be a good chance to wear his new summer cothes that he's got for the beach in California. BTW, do bears sun burn? Mmm....

Anyway, Stu stuck on the new master cylinder and other than a bit of pipe bending it went on no probs and with some new brake fluid normal braking is resumed!

Yea!

Jim

Yes Fred definitely needs a nice sun hat. And where's his sunshades?

I wasn't suggesting beating up Fred

I was just wanting to ensure his safety in the car... Don't want him going missing again!
