Technical splitting inlet pipe

hiya ...i have a mark one uno turbo ...i've just replaced the electric fuel pump ...with a secondhand (e bay) one but am having problems.....every time i start the car after a few moments, the inlet pipe expands and splits, i've changed the pipe several times but no luck. i have also tried to start it with the fuel cap off to clear any air has anyone incured this problem or has any suggestions of what this may be :slayer:

I saw it at Stanford Hall. met you at Gaydon when you were chatting to the lad selling his black MK1.

Is it your air or fuel inlet pipe which is splitting? Which section of said inlet pipe?
