Ok,
My g/f Jackie has asked me to post on here to prove to me that she isn't going mad or seeing things in the final weeks of her pregnancy !
What happened was that whilst sitting at some traffic lights yesterday she saw a Fiesta. As she looked down, she thought he was wheel spinning but on closer inspection she said "it was like the tyres were stationery but the wheel hubs were moving" !

Now, I've never heard of such an invention as spinning hub caps, but then I don't claim to know everything (Just most things ;) ) but have you guys ever heard of such a thing ?

Or is the baby starving her brain of oxygen ?? LOL

Please settle this as she is adamant that she saw this and I just keep laughing at her ;)

yes you can get them, you can get very cheap ones or very expensive ones.

basically it's like an alloy with a wheel trim over it. The wheel trim can spin independantly to the wheel, so when the car stops the momentum keeps the wheel trims spinning. reverse effect when you set off. What's best is when the car stops then reverses as the wheels are going forwards and the car backwards.

the yanks do expensive chrome versions but i've never seen them over here.

i have seen really really cheap ones which are like two wheel frims one over the other.

So don't worry, she's ok :)

You are a bit behind the times m8...lol

These spinning wheels (Or spinners) have been around for well over a year!

You can even get a plastic wheel trim versions now...

Yes! It's entirely true! The wheel company "Lenso" were the first (or one of the first) companies to bring them out. From then on, many other maufacturers have followed it on. Basically, its a normal alloy wheel that has an external moving hub cap section! :)

Re: Re: Spinning Hub Caps ?!?!

Well, thanks for that guys....I stand corrected and will have to eat humble pie ! LOL

I have to admit tho' that they sound like a rather sad accessory to have....but each to their own.

And yes Smee, your spelling and grammar suck....but then I've told you a million times before ;)

Cheers guys.....superb response time as ever ;) Haven't you guys got jobs ??? ;)
