Hi I am trying to track down a speedo cable and sensor (I think it's a sensor or driver ?!?!?) for my 2001 fiat ducato14 motor home. I'vet tried ebay, fiat dealership, scrap yards and europarts but no joy..... I've tried to attach photos of the parts

engine type required and base model would also be good.

is it a 1.9 diesel?

GEAR
9 600 936 680

That is the part number for the only part that looks remotely like yours on part diagrams . this part has 21 teeth.

when searching that number google images it looks slightly different.
possibly there is a metal sleeve separated from yours jammed in the housing or just not shown in your photos.

FLEXIBLE SHAFT
1 315 432 080

part number or speedo drive cable again only one that looks like what I can see of yours.

good luck

do not rely on the part number for the gear
I am trying to look into it further .

Thank you so much, by teeth do you mean the ridges on the outside of the blue but? It is a 1.9 TD

Hi Alainod,

This is an old thread and Martin17 has not posted for over 4 years, and the OP, Polly73 for even longer. You may elicit a rasponse by opening a conversation (see letter symbol at top of page). or by creating a new post and adding the @ symbol infront of their forum name. This will generate an email to their registered email address.

Base on nealy forgotten experience from many years ago when replacing broken machanical speedometer drive cables, the speedo cable should just pull out of the drive gear, after releasing the cable outer from the gearbox. Typically a square end on the inner cable, inserted into a square centre hole in the drive gear.
