Trying to get to the speedo bulb/s. Got as far as the removal of the bottom half of the steering column cowling- now I'm stuck - help please!

Lower the steering wheel to its lowest position(if its adjustable) then remove all the screws around the dash cluster. pull cluster forward and it should just pass over the cowels without removing them.

Cheers, got the top three star screws out of the top of the cluster, but its still fixed, damned if I can find the other screws........

Hi, just got back from removing mine! (Marea Weekend)

As mentioned above, lower steering wheel if possible. You will see two star screws just above the steering wheel.

Then, remove the cover that houses all the fuses. This is next to the passenger door (it has two plastic screws). There is a screw inside the fuse housing **there that must be removed**. This screw holds the instrument panel to the VENTILATION / VENT / AIRDUCT)

Unplug two connectors holding this plastic cover (one on each side). Now you can remove front plastic cover.

Now unscrew top and bottom star screws (5 in total if Im not mistaken - 3 on top and 2 on bottom).

Move panel out and unplug three connectors on top. Move pannel towards the passenger door and out.

All in all it takes a bit of fiddling but can be done with patience.

Im not sure but it may be a good idea to disconnect the negative battery cable because I've fixed my blanked out milleage display (faulty light bulb) but now the airbag display lights up! I am going to try to disconnect the negative battery cable for an hour or so to see if that clears up.
