Hello all,

I picked up 3 points last weekend by one of the police dept's mobile speed camera vans which was sat behind a bridge!!! (welsh police dept) hehehe how bad is that a welsh police man!!!!!

Any way I havent admitted to anything yet and I seem to remeber that there was a website to help us guys out.

Can any one remember the url??

Nige did you go to this site when you were caught? did it help you?

Only some forces have signed up to the making all camerasites visible - Gwent (South Wales) hasn't so they can still hide their cameras and speed traps. Basically any police force that wants to keep a percentage of the fines they raise has to make all cameras visible and put warning signs up within one mile of the camera. Gwent are one of the few that have decided not to do that so thay can still hde behind bushes and bridges.

Admit it!

Basically if you were going over the speed limit and were caught by a mobile camera then you are Donald Ducked.

It is only worth fighting if there were extreme circumstances and you really think you have a case, as a solicitor will cost the best part of £200 for a consultation, more if representation is required.

So if you were on a road doing 70 in a 60 and they got the road name correct etc (which they will for a mobile, it wasn't a moving target job) then pay the £60 and tell you insurance company at next renewal.

Just thank god you werent test the NOS out!

"er....Sarge, my camera's just gone bang!"
