speed sensor

Hi i bought a fiat 1.2 punto sport 2003 model 2 door and the speedo has stopped working can anyone shed any light on this as i don't know if the car has abs or not how would i find out

it will have abs if u look on the dash and turn the ignition on all the lights will come on the just look for the abs symbol on mine its to the right i believe, i could be wrong but i think thats the easiest way of checking, other than driving it the stepping on the brake hard and seeing if u go skidding or not

just checked my mk2 1.2 that does have abs and the light is below the engine management light on mine so

Hi i fitted the new speed sensor and still nothing the gearbox end is revolving as it should be has any one else encountered this problem is there anything behind the dash that can affect it regards

Hi i took the speedo cluster out and it all seems ok rev counter works and all gauges speedo still doesn't, there is an end that goes into the gearbox that seems loose it does revolve would that have something to do with the problem has anyone else encountered this thanks in advance
