Hi guys. i've got a set of nice infiniti reference comps, 17cm, that i was gonna put in the skoda doors, but it seems they might be too deep.

can anyone recommend slimline 16cm comps?

likewise, room is VERY tight where the rear ones go. i'm not putting comps in the rear though, because the stock tweeter mount is just below the drivers head, about a foot behind (on the door). will sound cack there i think.
so can anyone recommend slimline 13cm coaxials?
they should be a reasonable price (£80 is not reasonable for my rear speakers btw) and powerful enough that its not drowned out by the 12" jbl sub in the boot

cheers guys!

ps, i'd post this in the skoda forum, but i've practically worn out the search button there, and conclude that all they know how to do is make my car faster. ask about speaker sizes, and you get no answers for a week, then 5 different ones appear :S

have a look for some blaupunkt speakers, they do a slim range im sure and they may be quite nice!

Try and put the Infiniti's in first mate.

Got them in the Bravo and LOVE Them.

The infiniti's are bloody good so i might just try and squeeze them in after all. Having had another look, i reckon i can make a spacer that will bring it out as much as 10mm (optimistic estimate) without fouling the plastic interior door trim. that just might be enough to make them fit.

i also need a set of decent 13cm coaxials for the rear. but again, space is an issue. the JBL ones i saw didn't seem too big, can anyone agree or disagree?

If you've got money to spare then Focal do a slim version of their K speakers.

Mounting depth is getting an issue on quite a lot of cars now.

well, for 13cm rear coxials i'd rather not spend more than £50 probably. maybe £70 for something real good, but it IS for the rear, and will be sitting pretty close to the sub. I think i'll try more searching the skoda forum, and see if i can find it on folks profiles what they've fitted :S
could take a while.
failing that, i will try the infiniti reference coaxials and hope they fit...
