Fiat want a small fortune for a cam cover gasket kit, (£25) so I thought I would help support my local friendly motor parts, now I can get a cam cover gasket for £7.45 but it does not include the five o-rings for the spark plugs, and they cant get them!

However I can get the whole kit from shop for parts for £19.38 delivered. Oh hang on plus my 10% discount for being a boo member. So total cost would be £17 .99. but my question is do I need the o-rings?

if you can get them for that price mate, let me know when ya getting it cus i need 1 myself, the rocker cover is leaking and gettin oil in spark plugs..
Correct me if im wrong, but Id say you do need the o rings obviously to stop oil from getting in,even tho you replace the cover with a new 1.Always best to replace them at same time, rather than have 1 thing of old and 1 thing of new..if u will :)

You may get away with re-using the ring seals, however, if they are badly cracked causing an oil seepage, you could reseal with an rtv sealant, and/or use some blue hypolymer (do they still make this??) as it can be used as a gasket alone for cylinder heads, it'll be good for the rings.

hope that helps ya

for that price you may as well get them and change them , chances are they are gonna go anyway , may as well do the lot why the head is off
