spare plug?

whilst stripping door cards off i came across this on the driverside.Its not the loom for the mirrors as theyre workiing and all plugged up.
Any other ideas anyone

The only thing that comes to mind is the connector for the alarm, to send a signal when the doors are locked - that is for a standard fitted alarm.

hmm could be as i havnt got the standard alarm there i.e no key switch in the glovebox.

How long is the cable to the connector - does it go to the end of the door or is it shorter ?
Looking better at the picture, the cables are a bit thick for signals and by the look of them they are for supplying something. In this case you have a black eart, red positive and the yellow one - some signal or a feed to something from some kind of switch.

yer thats it,but all i know is it went into the door and was wrapped together with the e/w switches once inside the door.Didnt really investigate to how far it went tbh. Doesnt really matter tho as its back inside the door..was just curious to see if anyone knew what it was for

When you say the mirrors are working do you mean remote adjustment?
If yes, could the plug be for HEATED mirror?

if you mean remote as in the switches on the c/c then yes.Electric motors were the first things i bought for the car as it had manul mirrors and as for the heated mirrors,yes they worked once i put the rear heated screen on.There arnt any plugs spare coming off the mirrors,was just 1 plug for the right and 1 for the left which i had the loom for
