Sorry for the Same Old Story but here is my version. Red key stolen with vehicle some years back, Motorhome recovered not Red key. Now 5 years later... Key CODE lamp stays on when ever I do not need it to. I know the drill, no red key = no easy solution. New antenna possible but code box needs red key. Is ECU replacement eminent? or just a de-code? both are a possibility, but I don't want to follow that path if not necessary.

What would anyone suggest to do in a step by step manner to chase down the culprit? (in the order of least cost first). As I am a full time motorhome dweller on the continent please tailor suggestions with that regard, I.E. Can anyone suggest a German Re-Coder? France? Italy? Would prefer Germany or a Denmark referral as at the moment I am near Flensburg, Germany.

Ultimately my current frustration has me leaning toward disabling the whole immo system if possible. Anyone done that? Can you instruct me as to how to go about it? The Motorhome is 9 years old after all, who would sight in on that old thing in a crowd of much newer motorhomes!

Thanks for any scraps thrown my way, I await any suggestions!

Just borrowed a multi-meter and rang out the antenna connector. It reads 32.3 Ohms, is that kinda High? I don't assume to know what that means but the continuity Beep wouldn't even make a noise where the probes touching each other did?

Please! I'm dead on the road in Flensburg, Germany and supposed to be headed towards Copenhagen with M.I.L. on board, visiting on vacation. Wife beginning to get that throw-money-at-it look in her eye, so I really beg anyones input at this weakening moment!

The same thing happened to my motorhome in Interlaken last summer and I got towed to a Fiat garage where they removed the immobiliser and rewired the same. Have had no further trouble since, like yours mine is 10 years old and only I know it has no immobiliser but to the would be thief how does he know?

Okay, I just bumped a turquoise box right above the battery and Voila! the key code light went out. Any takers... Have I solved the eternal enigma? What the heck is that box for anyway?

P.S. LHD built for N+B, turquoise box
maybe on the otherside in UK.

OOPS! It Happened Again! All day the code key light went out and motor ticked over just exactly as designed. Got cockey and turned it off for a minute... Code key lamp stayed on, for 20 minutes. Tried to wiggle everything under the hood but to no avail. Then suddenly out of the blue (Turquoise, maybe?) it started again (Read as: Code Key Lamp went out.) WAAAAAZZZZUUUP!!! Please if anyone knows this behaviour Please let me know what you went through and how to fix it!

Hellooooooooo.... ellooooooo.... loooooo... oooo Can anybody hear meeeee... mee... ee? Is there anyone out there... ere...re... ??????????????

Hi There, why not just take the bulb out as long as it starts and goes , I had my immobiliser removed by a garage and they take them out on all new ambulances as norm as they said they cant take the chance in an emergency of it playing up. best of luck Bryan:)

Are you referring to the inertia switch? This is to cut the ignition in the event of an impact. On the top you press down to reset it. Its a common cause of non starting.
