Likewise before driving make sure the spring is still retained in its cup if its come out it could spear the tyre causing a blow out

When i had a snapped spring you could tell by just standing back and looking, the spring affected made the wheel arch gap lower from the others.

The quality of a lot of these cheap spring is shocking. When mine broke I bought the decent more expensive 'recommended' brand in the selection on Eurocarparts.

These guys get genuine OEMs from the FIAT parts place just up the road from them.
I'd hazard to say even better quality springs won't exactly last too long on these roads.
I suppose 5.5 years for one side and nearly 6 for t'other ain't too bad.
p.s yes I'm aware you are supposed to do both at the same time.

Sorted, was broken. 77 quid fitted. Car feels much better, no pulling to left, less spongey ride. Would I have noticed had I not heard it? Probably not.
