As per title really.
Photographer took a cracking photo of the Ccar at castle combe Eurofest yesterday. Tried to scan it and it always looks too dark.
Anyone willing to have a go at sorting it out please? :)

currently 'having a go' ;)

trackdays are awesome aren't they

*not the greatest revamp, you can now see all the car, even if it does have a bit of a red hue to the whole image. tried alsorts inc adding some blue, but no avail.

suppose you could isolate the marea and boost that whilst leaving everything else, but I'm pretty tied up at the mo, give me till tomoz, and i'll have a bash at that (y)

it makes car look over exposed.. so ive reversed that on just the car. and then brightend it up a little to level it with the background.

picture aint that high res so soon as you start tinkering it makes quality worse and makes the pic look ****e.

best i can do atm.

Not quite what you were after, I expect, but I think it looks pretty awsome (y)

I have altered the contrast and saturation a little to improve the detail and such in the shadows but theres not alot you can do as the scan is compressed and has lost alot of detail. TBH looking at the photo I would expect it is your scanners settings being wrong which is causing it to be so contrasty.
