Snapped heads

Arse!

I've snapped the heads on the bolts for the plastic cover over the rocker.

Any easy way to get this sorted?

How? By attemptint to undo them, lol. Think they may have been on a little tight and when I attempted to undo the nut from the top, the bolt just snapped off

Lol, I have no idea what you mean Tom. I'm a total novice when it comes to mechanical stuff. Unfortunately I dont have a pic either

Its basically the three bolts that hold the black plastic cover in place

Hex head - normal 6 sided nut/bolt
ribe - star shaped used for some bolts on fiats

Did you get the cover off? I can't remember what engine you have.

Its a normal hex head nut.

Engine is the likkle 1.2

Did you get the cover off? How much of the bolt is sticking out of the rest of the engine?

The usual way is to get a big pair of molegrips on the end of the bolt and twist it out

There is loads of the bolt sticking out of the engine but not enough to peep out of the top of the plastic engine cover to get some new nuts on top.

So u reckon some molegrips to get them out and some new nuts and bolts will do it?

I'll keep you posted. (although I may wait until Wednesday when its been in for service)

Yup, get a GOOD grip on it with the moles. Maybe a spray of WD40/plusgas beforehand too.
