Smoked rear clusters

Just wondering how people make the rear clusters smoked and does it effect the person behind when you break? i'e can they still see the lights?

Yeah it looks ace doesn't it. Im getting the windows tinted so thought it would look good with the clusters done to. I'll see if he see's this post if not i'll FAO him.
