anyone done this? i have just bought some spray tint and i intend to have a go at it sometime next week when i have a day off work.

anything i should look out for ? i am gonna go pick up a haynes manual this weekend so i can remove the rear clusters then i assume i would just spray the inside of the plastic protector that surrounds the cluster.

i would assume that there is some legal pitfalls regarding spraying the rear lights but i have a smoked tint and i only intend to spray it on lightly not smuther it :)

any help or guidence anyone can offer me would be brilliant.

I've not done it, but I think it'd be a good idea to do the inside like you said, we're lucky to be able to with our fiats. Most cars you see with tinted lights have that crappy dull finish.

I wouldnt smoke them. You should be proud of the Ferrari sytle rear lights. But its a personal taste anyway.

Re: Re: Smoke em !!! (light clusters)

schumaniaC i have a dark green bravo and the rear clusters stand out because from the rear they are the only bright things, so i want to put a soft tint on them to make them stand out less and make the car look more dark from the rear. i am not talking about jet black here, lol just lightly smoked so they are slightly darker then standard to blend in more with the overall look of the car.

but it is just personal taste as you said and not everyone loves everything :) i will post some piccys before/after and do a guide for nige incase anyone wants to do it as well.

my mate has the new clio, he did this with his lights and got pulled over. he sprayed them black and for some reason the plastic warped, because of the heat from the bulbs i guess for that reason he now has lexus style one which they now make for bravos but im not sure where from. neway the lights are my favorite feature about the car leave em alone

Yeah those look great azz, my bravo is the same colour so i am after a similar effect, i wouldent tint them dark if i had a light car because they would look naff the only reason i am tinting them is because i want to blend them in the the dark colour i already have
