General Small service

Hey, looking to do a small service on my Marea, just wondering what oil you guys recommend and how much the engine needs, been ages since I've done a 20v! Also looking for recommendations for plugs too!

Model is HLX 2.0 20v

5w-40 not the cheapest nonamebrand, 5Liters and the little teacup filter.
Filter placement sucks so I relocated mine and doubled the size of the filter.

For plugs I run the NGK BKR6EKC the fiat lists in their manual, havent had problems, had some 4 electrode boschs but cannot remember the type.

I remember the manual recommending different plugs (heat) between 147 and 155 (or 150, cant remember anymore).

5w40 castrol is best to use for spirited driving, otherwise use Selenia 20k.
Plugs, I use the Bosch super 4 and are quite good, the oil filter as Neverth says is a bugger to get to as its mounted next to the engine mounts

I think the old ones were super 4 too. Atleast something close to that, one was fingertight

Better now

Added oil pressure sensor afterwards, mountings and exhaust heatshields also needed to be done properly.
