General Small Round Vent

Does anyone know what this small vent just above the gear lever is for?
There seems to be nothing behind it to benefit from it's placement.

I believe it is for the internal climate control temperature sensor, for Panda’s lucky enough to have the luxury of climate control

It's housing a sensor, for a system you don't have
