sluggish...

if i leave my 1.6hlx standing for about 3-4 days,it gets a bit sluggish when i get in it.example... i came home from work on friday afternoon, and didn't use it until this morning(wednesday).as soon as i started it up, the tone of the engine didn't sound right, and if i accelerated, it seamed to be only on half powers, with the odd back firring!! i drove it about 15 miles, it was getting a bit better, and stopped for petrol. started it up, and it was back to normal!! no side affects.this has happened before.it's a T99 with 85k on the clock.petrol v millage was as normal.cheers. could it be a sticky inlet/outlet valve???

Just get some forte engine treatment (£10-£15) and run that through on a full tank, then give it a little hammering on the motorway or a duel garraige way then that should be fine again.

and also when is the last time u changed ur plugs and leads?

lead & plugs about 3 years ago.i've had the car four and a half years, and only done 30k!!i'll give it a go.ta

i would 100% do the plugs and leads both then.

Its a 1.4 Chassis, 1.6 Engine and 2.0ltr Brakes and half a Marea
