Petrol or diesel? give us a bit more info, what engine etc etc, somebody may be able to help !

I presume this is the old 1905CC unit!. try taking the slack out of the accelerator cable, they tend to stretch, where cable goes onto injector pump, pull off clip on cable and move it to new position, do it with engine running and put clip in position just before revs start to increase if you know what I mean. I found this fixed Xantia's, BX's etc etc all with that engine. Hope this helps(y)

Thanks for the reply digger is there any pics on here so i dont make a mistake its not the clip with the screw you undo on the cable on metal part of cable after spring is it or clip that hold the black part of cable before it goes through hole in the unit many thanks

Hi, I don't have any pics, is the cable loose? i.e. can you pull it back from the pump without moving the throttle lever on the pump?, The clip is R shaped and fits in the grooves in the outer covering of the cable where it goes throught the bracket attached to the pump. I really can't describe it any more as I sold my 1.9 over 2 years ago.

Hi digger thanks, you have been really helpful will adjust tomorrow and see how it goes (y)
