Hi all
Over the last couple of days I have noticed that I'm getting a slight front vibration after changing gear and accelerating which is only slight and just noticable.
seems to happen in the first couple of seconds after changing gear(hard to describe)
Sounds like it could be from the engine bay..
Any ideas on this ?

Cheers
Peter

Just thought I'd give it one last plug before it decends into oblivion...

You've not said what model car, age, milage etc.. If it does it in all gears, only some gears, only at certain speeds etc...

Can't help you without all the info.

Hi Tom
Its a 96 Brava 1.6 16v. doiing nearly 50k on the mileage.
Seems to be doing it from 2nd gear on at lower speeds..
and in the first couple of seconds after changing gear.
Any ideas?
Peter.

Does it make a difference depending on how much throttle you give it?

Has it ever had a new clutch?

Open the bonnet, grab the engine and give it some. See if it wobbles. The car should wobble with the engine.

cheers Tom,I'll try that in the morning & see what happens.
To be honest ,seems to do it when I go heavier on the throttle at lower speeds/revs to gain speed. Not sure when the clutch was last changed as i've only had it 6 months.Worth mentioning that it doesn't 'slip' at all..?
Cheers
Peter.
