slight fault

sometimes when i switch off my car to say go into a shop,when i come out it wont start by that i mean i get ignition lights and the code light goes out but it wont turn over by the starter,i left it for about an hour and it started but if i push it straight away when it doesnt turn over it will start and be fine when u switch it off and on,any ideas.

Do you get any noise from the starter when you turn the key?
Like a click or is it silent?
If your getting a click from the solinoid i'd guess your starter motor was buggered.
If it's turning the engine over but slowly then it might be a duff battery or your starter motor is buggered.
If your geting nothing but silence when you turn the key then it could be a bad connection or maybe your starter motor is buggered.

Starter relay, key switch, starter itself. You need to check if the starter gets volts when you turn the key.
